–Ordering Support–

• What is the minimum quantity?

For the tapes: 100 Cartons

For the film: 1 Ton

Most of our products are sold in batch quantities which enable us to offer you the best prices on these products.

• How can I have a sample?

We can offer free samples for testing, just call us or send emails, our sales will contact you very soon.

• Is the sample free of charge?

Yes, the first few samples are free of charge. However, if further multiple samples are required, for transit tests etc – these may incur charges.

Although we provide samples free of charge, please noted that the shipping cost should be paid by the client, and this charge will be credited back to you in full when you place your first order with us.

• Can a salesman call to discuss the options with me?

We would be happy to visit you to discuss specific projects.

• How can I pay for my purchases?

You can pay for your purchases by T/T, D/P, L/C

Please note that in the interest of security, World-Packing industrial will never ask for your full username, password or credit card details via emails, pop-ups, or for any purpose other than registering or placing an order. • Where do I start if I don’t know or are unsure of my requirements?

Just call us and we’ll happily either discuss over the phone or arrange a site visit to assess your needs, dependant on the volume/quantities of packaging required.

• Can I add to an existing order?

You can add items to your order until you confirm your payment details and complete the order. Once the order is confirmed, you can’t add items to the same order. If you would like to order additional items, please place a new order.

• Can I place an order from overseas?

Yes, we deliver to all over the world

• What are the internal dimensions of 40′ and 20′ sea containers?

40′ Containers: 12015 x 2345 x 2362mm. Between the doors: 2335 x 2260mm

20′ Containers: 5890 x 2345 x 2400mm. Between the doors: 2335 x 2290mm

Please be aware that although Sea Containers all have the same external dimensions, they do not all have the same internal dimensions. The sizes above should be taken as average sizes and not exact dimensions.

• We need cases that are non-standard sizes. Do you make them?

Yes. The vast majority of our cases are non-standard, designed to suit our customers’ products.

• How long will it take you to reply to my email?

We receive many emails from our customers everyday however we endeavour to deal with each one as they arrive. Sometimes if we are really busy it takes a little longer but in the majority of cases you will receive a response the same day. We will always respond to your email within a maximum of 1 working day even if it is only to acknowledge your email and advise you that we are still dealing with your enquiry or query.

Why do prices change so often?

All of our packaging products are made from either paper, or polymer (derived from the petrochemical industry) based materials. As such, both these base materials are used in huge volumes globally, and consequently are commodities traded on the world’s stock markets, where price fluctuations are inherently linked to global supply and demand influence. Our product pricing therefore simply reflects this fact. Talk to us to find out how we can assist in limiting price fluctuations by effective ordering procedures.

• Why do packaging materials prices vary so much dependant on how many we buy?

There are a number of criteria which govern the prices of custom-made packaging materials, but the main ones are :

Packaging materials (film and tapes) are made in jumbo rolls and is made and sold per roll based on simple economies of scale where higher quantity produced in one production run yields lower pricing than a smaller make quantity, and vice-versa.

Once jumbo roll is ready to be processed through machines which ‘convert’ the semi-finished roll into finished product, those machines have to be ‘made ready’ to run the particular specification of a customer’s order e.g. specific sizing. The machine ‘make-ready’ time is largely fixed and is costed-in as a % of the total packaging materials’ cost.

Therefore, if the order qty is smaller then its impact will be greater on the costing as a whole giving a higher unit cost, than if it was spread over a larger order qty, so having a lesser impact on the overall costing hence yielding a lower price.

• Can I get better prices for larger quantities / regular orders?

We believe our prices are extremely competitive especially when compared to other manufacturers offering similiar products.

If however you are looking to order very large quantities or place orders on a regular basis of a particular item we may be able to offer further discounts. Please contact us to discuss your requirements in further detail.

• Are my details secure?

We work on the trade terms of clients’ business relationship with us will be confidential to any third party.

• What is your privacy policy?

World-Packing Industrial do not disclose buyers’ information to third parties other than when order details are processed as part of the order fulfillment. In this case, the third party will not disclose any of the details to any other third party.

• Quality Support

Why does adhesive tape not stick to some things, and seems to perform differently in different weather conditions?

The type of adhesive on the ‘sticky’ side of the tape varies greatly in quality, and therefore price – please talk to us so we can explain the different qualities to you and supply the most applicable type of tape to effectively do the job for you.

• Where do you deliver?

We deliver to all over the world

• What are your rough lead times ?

25-30 days after deposit payment. Larger orders depending on whether stock or bespoke materials are used given at time of placing order.

• Why do delivery lead times vary depend on which products I’m ordering?

World-Packing Industrial manufacture a range of packaging materials, and we have different machine capabilities for different products. The specific nature of the item you require dictates which machines are best suited to producing it at lowest cost option, and consequently some machines tend to be ‘busier’ than others –this we call machine ’loading’, literally the amount of order to be produced buy a specific machine in a given time-frame. This applies to all custom-made packaging lines.

• Why is pallet stretch film seem so complex – I just need to wrap my pallets for despatch for minimum cost outlay!

As with adhesive tape, the specific type of ‘stretch wrap’, ‘pallet wrap’ or ‘cling film’ used to wrap pallets for despatch is depend on the specific product to be wrapped, how much the pallet weighs, its delivery destination etc…

There are many types to choose from but as always, World-Packing Industrial can advise on minimising your cost for this very critical ‘last item in the packaging chain’ – get it wrong and your goods will not arrive at destination in good condition resulting in damages claims, and dissatisfied customers – get it right and you’ve removed another potential headache from your operation.

• Why do you have different grades of polyolefin shrink films?

We have different grades of polyolefin shrink films because there are so many different types of shrink wrapping equipment and so many differing applications and so one grade of polyolefin shrink film would never cover all these possibilities.

• What is your best grade of polyolefin shrink film and why?

Certainly our most popular grade of polyolefin shrink film by a margin is our HY003 high performance polyolefin shrink film.

This shrink film has unique properties in terms of having the highest shrink ratio of any film currently on the market coupled with a shrink temperature which is around 30 degrees lower than comparable films.

This means it has a very wide ‘processing window’ providing very consistent results and making it relatively easy to run on the vast majority of shrink wrappers currently available today.

This polyolefin shrink film also has ‘hot slip’ properties making it incredibly easy to pack products into outer cartons straight of the packing line while the product is still warm. Almost all other films are ‘tacky’ when still hot and so can cause the shrink film to tear when packing products against each other in outer cartons.
